Savoy Theatre is one of the oldest and finest theatres in town. The theatre opened its door in the year 1881. This theatre was built by Richard D’Oyly Carte. He was one of the finest architects in the town. He made this place look very much beautiful. Formerly at this place, a palace existed here, which later turned into opera theatre. The name of the Palace was Savoy, so the theatre was also known with the name of it. After some time, Savoy hotel was built next to the theatre. This made a great place to be enjoyed by the different number of tourists that stayed in the hotel. People like to enjoy the productions and shows which very being shown in the theatre. The place is famous for number of different number of reasons, the first reason is of the famous architect family who built it and hosted a number of productions at the stage of the theatre.
